Benefits of Pilates

Reduced risk of injury – Pilates is a low impact form of exercise that can help reduce the risk of injury, particularly to the joints.

Increased flexibility – Pilates incorporates stretches and movements that can help improve flexibility.

Improved balance and coordination – Pilates includes exercises that focus on balance and coordination, helping to improve these important skills and reduce the risk of falls.

Improved core strength – As we age, our core muscles can weaken, leading to poor posture, back pain and reduced mobility.

Pilates is a great way to strengthen those muscles which can improve posture, reduce pain and increase overall mobility.

Stress relief – Pilates is a great way to reduce stress and promote relaxation which can have a positive impact on overall health and well being.

Our Treatments

Conditions that can be treated with physiotherapy.

"Friendly and professional service. Explanation's of symptoms and exercises were very clear and concise. Excellent service, thank you".

Robert Vipond

"I have been to Catherine for over 12 years. Recently due to personal circumstances I had to use an alternative physiotherapist who, after three sessions, failed to diagnose the problem. Fortunately, I returned to Catherine and she immediately identified the cause of my hip pain and within a week, I felt an improvement. Catherine is very professional, efficient and, without fail, sorts me out!"

Jane Jackson

"Have been treated by Catherine on and off for over 10 years, and, she has proved to have been a more than capable physiotherapist; excellent at pin-pointing my back and muscle problems; has a bright and cheery disposition!"

John Glover

"I have been delighted with the treatment I have recently received from Catherine Adams. After a swift diagnosis of an acute back problem, exercises and treatment were given, and the problem resolved over a few sessions. My husband and mother also have recently had problems with their backs and Catherine treated them with great success. I would have no hesitation in recommending Catherine. She is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, understanding and highly skilled. Excellent!"

Bronwen Biggs

"I went to see Catherine a week after I was turned away by the hospital with a severe pain in my right arm which got worse over a period of 2/3 weeks. As there was no restriction of movement in my arm, I was told not to worry about it. Catherine was recommended to me by a colleague, she diagnosed a problem in my back which surprised me but, I agreed to start treatment immediately as she felt that I had an “acute” condition. It wasn’t until she started the treatment that I realised just how bad I was and I cannot thank her enough for the help and support she has given me over the past few weeks. Her knowledge, experience and methods are excellent".
